# How SimplifyLocal turns a finished job into a page

> One job, start to finish: marked done, written up and published on your own website, then posted on Google. Plus the few hours of setup it needs from you.

This page is the plain-text (markdown) version of [https://simplifylocal.app/how-it-works](https://simplifylocal.app/how-it-works). It mirrors the HTML page so AI assistants and other automated readers can read the same words without parsing the layout.

## One job, start to finish.

### 01. Your crew marks it done.

The job closes in the scheduling software, same as always. SimplifyLocal picks it up with the notes, the work listed and the photos the crew saved.

SimplifyLocal only reads your jobs. It never changes anything in your scheduling software.

### 02. We write it up.

The page is written from that job, in the tone you picked at setup.

The page never shows the street, the customer's name or the price. Photos with a face, a license plate or an address in them are left off too, unless you choose to show them.

### 03. A page goes up on your website.

The page publishes automatically at its own address on your website. Edit anything, anytime, or take a page down. The power stays in your hands.

The page carries your logo, colors, menu and phone number. There's no "Powered by" line and no SimplifyLocal name on it.

### 04. A post goes out on Google.

Your Google Business Profile gets posts on a steady schedule, drawn from your best jobs rather than every single one.

Each post carries photos from the job, a few lines about the work, and a button that opens the job's page.

## What it takes from you

A few hours of your time, all in the first week or two.

- **Tell us where you work and what you do.** Your service area, your trade, and the tone your pages are written in.
- **Connect your scheduling software.** It takes about five minutes, and your first pages come from jobs you've already finished.
- **Send your web person a short list.** A one-time list that puts your pages on your website, adds them to your menu and helps Google find them sooner.
- **Fine-tune your first pages with us.** We adjust the writing style until it sounds like you, and every page after follows.

That's it. From then on, pages publish automatically. You can edit anything, anytime.

Before you start, you'll need scheduling software we can connect with and a website you or whoever built it can get into. [See the scheduling software we can connect with](/integrations)

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Will Google punish pages written with AI?

No. Google doesn't penalize a page for being written with AI, as long as it's useful to the person reading it. Every page is built from a real job you finished: where it was, the work your crew did, and your crew's photos. It's written to sound like your business, and you can edit anything, anytime.

### Does SimplifyLocal work with my website?

Yes, as long as you or whoever built your website can get into it. The app gives you a short list of steps to send whoever looks after your site, then SimplifyLocal's pages are published on your own domain, with your logo and colors, and the rest of your site stays as it is.

Websites built on Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy Website Builder or Shopify aren't currently compatible with SimplifyLocal.

### What scheduling platforms do you support?

Housecall Pro and Jobber today. On another platform? Ask us, and we'll tell you where it stands.

### What shows up about my customers?

The town, never the street. Pages never show a customer's name or what the job cost. If a photo shows a face, a license plate or an address, we leave it off the page unless you put it back.

### Can I change a page after it's published?

Yes. Edit the headline, the write-up and the photos anytime, or take the page off your site. If a job changes in your scheduling software after its page is published, we don't rewrite the page on our own. You choose whether to apply the update.

### What happens to my pages if I stop using SimplifyLocal?

You own every page. Your pages, job notes and photos belong to you, and SimplifyLocal will send you a copy of them when you ask. Your pages also stay up on your website for a while after your account closes, so you have time to move them.
