How SimplifyLocal handles data collected on the marketing site: waitlist emails, integration requests, contact form submissions, and analytics.
Last reviewed May 19, 2026
This page covers the marketing site at simplifylocal.app only. If you are a SimplifyLocal customer (a business owner or team member who signs in to use the product), the privacy policy that governs your account, your job data, and your integration connections is the separate in-product policy that applies to your account.
What this policy covers
SimplifyLocal maintains two separate surfaces:
- The marketing site (simplifylocal.app, including the waitlist, the integration-request form, and the contact form). This document covers that surface.
- The SimplifyLocal application (the product that connects to your field-service software and generates project pages). That surface is covered by the separate in-product privacy policy.
If you are visiting to learn about the product, sign up to the waitlist, request an integration, or get in touch, this document applies to you.
Information collected on the marketing site
Form submissions
The marketing site includes several forms. Each one collects only what it needs:
- Waitlist form. Collects your email address. Optionally, your first name if the form asks for it.
- Integration-request form. Collects your email address and the name of the field-service platform you use.
- Contact form. Collects your name, email address, and the message you write. Optionally, your company name and the name of your scheduling software. Submitted via Formspree (see Third-party processors below).
We do not collect payment details, account credentials, or business-operational data through any marketing-site form.
Analytics
The marketing site uses PostHog to understand how visitors interact with it. PostHog records page views, the buttons and links visitors click, which pages they visit, how long they spend on a page, and basic technical information such as browser type and country-level location derived from IP address. We do not use PostHog session recordings or feature flags on the marketing site.
PostHog does not receive form-submission content. When you submit your email to the waitlist, that data goes to Brevo (see Third-party processors below), not to PostHog.
We do not run advertising pixels, Facebook tracking, or any ad-network analytics on the marketing site.
Cookies and local storage
PostHog sets a first-party cookie to maintain a consistent visitor identity across sessions so we can understand returning vs. new visitor patterns. This is a functional analytics cookie, not an advertising cookie.
Formspree, the contact form processor, does not set additional cookies on the marketing site. Form data is submitted via a standard POST request with no client-side tracking from Formspree.
We do not currently use localStorage for persistent user data on the marketing site.
How we use what we collect
| Data | How it is used |
|---|---|
| Waitlist email address | To notify you when SimplifyLocal is available for your type of business or platform. To send infrequent product updates prior to launch. |
| Integration-request email + platform name | To follow up on the feasibility of that integration, and to group requests by platform so we can prioritize the integration roadmap. |
| Contact form name + email + message | To respond to your message. |
| Analytics data (PostHog) | To understand how visitors use the marketing site so we can improve it. Not used for advertising targeting or sold to third parties. |
We do not use marketing-site data to build advertising profiles, to train machine learning models, or to sell to data brokers.
Third-party processors
The following companies handle data collected on the marketing site:
Brevo(formerly Sendinblue) handles the waitlist and integration-request email lists. When you submit your email address on the marketing site, Brevo stores it and is the system we use to send any follow-up communications. Brevo’s privacy policy is at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/.
PostHoghandles visitor analytics as described above. PostHog’s privacy policy is at posthog.com/privacy. The marketing site uses PostHog’s US cloud region; data is stored in the United States.
Formspreereceives and forwards contact form submissions. When you submit the contact form, Formspree stores your submission on its servers and forwards it to SimplifyLocal’s email address. Formspree’s privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy. Formspree stores data in the United States.
We do not share marketing-site visitor data with our in-product infrastructure (Supabase, Render, Anthropic, Stripe, Sentry) because none of those systems are involved in the marketing site experience.
Data retention and deletion
Waitlist and integration-request emails are retained in Brevo until we send the relevant notification or until you unsubscribe. Every email we send through Brevo includes an unsubscribe link. To remove your address manually before receiving any email, contact us at the address below.
Contact form submissions are retained long enough to respond to the message and for a reasonable period afterward in case of follow-up. We do not retain contact messages indefinitely.
Analytics data (PostHog) is retained according to PostHog’s default data-retention settings for the US cloud region.
To request deletion of your data, email [email protected] and describe what you submitted. We will confirm deletion within seven days.
To request a copy of your data, use the same email address.
Children
The marketing site is intended for business owners and their employees. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a person under 16 has submitted data through the marketing site, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new form, a new analytics tool, or a new third-party processor, we will update this policy before that change goes live. For changes that meaningfully expand how we use visitor data, we will post a notice on the site. Because the marketing site does not require a sign-in, we cannot email visitors directly when policy changes, so checking this page is the reliable way to stay current.
