What this policy covers

SimplifyLocal has two separate parts:

1. The marketing site (simplifylocal.app, including the contact form). This policy covers it.
2. The SimplifyLocal application (the product that connects to your scheduling software and turns finished jobs into pages). That part is covered by the separate in-product privacy policy.

If you are visiting to learn about the product or get in touch, this policy applies to you.

Information collected on the marketing site

Form submissions

The marketing site collects details in two places. Each collects only what it needs:

• Contact form. Collects your name, email address, and the message you write. Optionally, your company name and the name of your scheduling software. Each submission also carries your PostHog visitor ID and any campaign tags (UTM parameters) from the link that brought you to the site. Submitted via Formspree (see Third-party processors below).
• Demo booking. The contact page embeds Calendly’s scheduler. When you book a demo, Calendly collects your name, email address, the time you choose, and anything you add to the booking, along with the same campaign tags (see Third-party processors below).

We do not collect payment details, account credentials, or business-operational data through any marketing-site form.

Analytics

The marketing site uses PostHog to understand how visitors interact with it. PostHog records page views, the buttons and links visitors click, which pages they visit, how long they spend on a page, and basic technical information such as browser type and country-level location derived from IP address. We do not use PostHog session recordings or feature flags on the marketing site.

PostHog does not receive form-submission content.

We do not run advertising pixels or ad-network tracking of any kind on the marketing site, including Meta’s (Facebook) and Reddit’s.

Cookies and local storage

PostHog sets a first-party cookie and an entry in your browser’s storage (localStorage) so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one. They are used for analytics, not advertising.

The marketing site also sets its own first-party cookie, sl_ph_did, which holds the same PostHog visitor ID and lasts one year. It is shared with app.simplifylocal.app so that, if you sign up for the SimplifyLocal product, your marketing-site visits can be connected to your new account in PostHog. The product deletes the cookie once it has read it.

Formspree, the contact form processor, does not set cookies on the marketing site. The form sends your message straight to Formspree, and Formspree runs no tracking on the page.

Calendly’s scheduler on the contact page loads from calendly.com and may set Calendly’s own cookies. Calendly’s privacy policy describes them.

The marketing site keeps the campaign tags (UTM parameters) from your first page in your browser’s session storage (sessionStorage), which clears when you close the tab.

How we use what we collect

We do not use marketing-site data to build advertising profiles, to train machine learning models, or to sell to data brokers.

Third-party processors

The following companies handle data collected on the marketing site:

PostHog handles visitor analytics as described above. PostHog’s privacy policy is at posthog.com/privacy. The marketing site uses PostHog’s US cloud region; data is stored in the United States.

Formspree receives and forwards contact form submissions. When you submit the contact form, Formspree stores your submission on its servers and forwards it to SimplifyLocal’s email address. Formspree’s privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy. Formspree stores data in the United States.

Calendly runs the demo scheduler on the contact page. When you book a demo, Calendly stores your booking and sends the details to SimplifyLocal. Calendly’s privacy policy is at calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice.

We do not share marketing-site visitor data with the services the product runs on, with one exception: if you sign up for the product, it reads the sl_ph_did cookie described above once, to connect your marketing-site visits to your new account in PostHog.

Data retention and deletion

Contact form submissions are retained long enough to respond to the message and for a reasonable period afterward in case of follow-up. We do not retain contact messages indefinitely.

Demo bookings are retained in Calendly long enough to hold the demo and for a reasonable period afterward in case of follow-up.

Analytics data (PostHog) is retained according to PostHog’s default data-retention settings for the US cloud region.

To request deletion of your data, email [email protected] and describe what you submitted. We will confirm deletion within seven days.

To request a copy of your data, use the same email address.

Children

The marketing site is intended for business owners and their employees. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a person under 16 has submitted data through the marketing site, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we add a new form, a new analytics tool, or a new third-party processor, we will update this policy before that change goes live. For changes that meaningfully expand how we use visitor data, we will post a notice on the site. Because the marketing site does not require a sign-in, we cannot email visitors directly when the policy changes, so checking this page is the reliable way to stay current.
